WHO IT'S FOR
Rock the Role is designed for advanced musical theater performers ready to delve deep into full callback preparations. If you've solidified your audition book and are aiming to master specific roles, this intensive offers the structured environment to do just that.
By the end of the 9 weeks, you'll have:
Three fully coached and recorded callback packets, including sides and songs.
Polished self-tapes suitable for submissions, your website, or representation.
A deeper understanding and embodiment of roles that align with your strengths.
HOW IT WORKS
THE SCHEDULE
Starting June 2nd, Mondays 6:30-8:30pm EST (Zoom)
Each role gets it's own 3-week focus.
Note: If you are working larger roles (i.e. Jenna in Waitress, Otis in Ain't Too Proud) we recommend a 2 show focus.
Classes are held on Monday Nights online with the exception of Week 3, which will be held in-person in mid-town NYC.
Feedback Fridays: Students will have the weekly opportunity to submit a short video for feedback.
Self-Tapes are recorded at home using your own equipment.

- You choose 2-3 roles you want to prepare. (Depending upon callback packet size)
- We coach the packet.
- Then you polish it—and put it on tape.

Please Note: Rock the Role is an advanced-level program. Participants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a complete basic level audition book and at least 3 months of prior coaching or professional theater industry working relationship with DJ or Shannah.
- Have equivalent training from a reputable, NYC-industry-level program and experience performing at a pre-professional or professional level.
