Wail With Shannah Rae Policies Spring 2022

BOOKING & PAYMENT

1. Due to live studio booking cancellation policies, SRVS will now observe a 48-hour cancellation policy on all classes and private lessons.  
   
   1. Note:  Due to the ongoing pandemic, if you must cancel your lesson due to a COVID infection or exposure you may be allowed to reschedule the lesson pending availability.  If you are sick, please stay home. If you have a known exposure, please cancel/reschedule or move your lesson to an online lesson.
      
2. Wail with Shannah Rae requires a 4-week minimum commitment.  After that you may cancel at any time.  Cancellation requests should be directed to Maggie ([email protected]) at least three business days before your next billing date. 
   
3. Wail class booking codes are issued monthly.  Any unused booking codes do not roll into the next month.  
   

CLASS EXPECTATIONS

1. For live classes, students are expected to have music in a binder or on a tablet in the correct key. For online classes, students are expected to have an accompaniment track.  If you need an accompaniment track, e-mail me and I will direct you to WWSR accompanists.  (Your track is covered in your membership fee if you use someone from the WWSR list.)
   
2. When possible, please arrive on time and stay for the entire class.  Two of the biggest benefits of group class is learning from other singers and providing each other with the ability to work your ‘fight or flight’ muscles in a supportive group environment before the audition or performance.
   
3. Refrain from texting or using your cell phone during class.  If there is an emergency, please quietly step outside.  
   
4. In order to protect one another and support the health of our industry, all students must be fully vaccinated (with booster if eligible) to attend live in-person classes.  If you are uncomfortable with or unable to get the vaccine, you are welcome to join our online classes. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy. 
   

WWSR MASTERCLASSES

1. As a member of Wail, you are eligible to register for industry masterclasses. These masterclasses are not included in your membership fee.  We do our best to keep these optional costs as low as possible.   
   
2. In order to ensure that you are setting yourself up for a successful experience to be eligible for a singing spot, you must attend at least one Wail group class and one Audition Prep class within the month leading up to the masterclass.  
   
   1. Note:  If you take class through a different studio and would like to request that it be considered for your Audition Prep class requirement, e-mail Shannah with the name of the Instructor/Studio and website.
      
3. Due to the limited number of seats available within a masterclass, all sales are final.  If you cannot attend, you may reach out to Shannah or Maggie to inquire if there is anyone on the waiting list and sell your seat to them.  Seats may only be sold to fellow Wailers who have met the above criteria.
   

WWSR Protege Policies

1. All participants in Wail Protege must also be enrolled in Wail membership for the full duration of the Protege program. 
   
2. Once you have completed your 12-week Protege program, you will automatically remain enrolled in Wail membership unless you request a cancellation.
   
3. By registering for Wail Protege you are agreeing to a 12-week financial commitment to both Wail membership and the Protege program regardless of whether you complete the program. 
   
4. Missed payments/billing issues must be rectified within 48 hours to avoid forfeiting that week’s lesson time.
   
5. Studio cancellation policies apply to all Protege lessons.
